Taking Control of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
Using Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

I am 47 years of age.  At the age of 14, I was diagnosed with PTSD, Depression, Bipolar II, generalized anxiety, and Borderline Personality Disorder.  For 33 years I suffered from my thinking, how I viewed myself and I believed that I would always be a sick person.  For the past two and a half years, I have made REBT, emotional intelligence theory, and mindfulness a part of everything that I think about.  After living with and researching my diagnosis of BPD, I have concluded the following ...
I am not defined by my diagnosis!
I have been through many types of treatment over the years including different forms of Cognitive Behavior Therapy such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy.  I have had psychiatric management with my medications, anger management, psychotherapy, transference-focused therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and schema therapy, but none of these worked for me ... until REBT & EI/EQ & mindfulness.
REBT (Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy), mindfulness, and EI/EQ (Emotional Intelligence Theory) are finally effective.  I work hard every day to reason and "dispute" my irrational self-talk.  I find with each experience that I learn from, and it becomes easier to dispute my irrational and rigid beliefs.
